Introduction:
We are the people of God, the children of God. As children let us think of our Father.
What is greatest quality or characteristic you think of when you think of God. I think many would answer LOVE! The love and concern that God has for mankind is what most may think of.
If we are the children of God, should we not reflect his nature? The first Christians were known for their great love for God and Christ and how this then affected the relationship they had with the brethren and the people around them. Reference
Acts 2.42-47, Acts 4.32-37
The Churches in Galatia needed to be reminded of this important message of loving others! Does this not indicate we too as the children of God need this lesson?
Lesson:
1.PAUL SADENED DUE TO THEIR DEPARTURE.
Galatians 1.6-9
Notice the wording and the “feeling” you can hear in the way it is written.
Paul felt very sad and bad about the development!
Wrote to them about this concern.
Trying to advice them, get them to see their mistake, done out of love!
There is no personal benefit for Paul, their faithfulness or lack of it!
Pauls concern for others!
Romans 10.1-3 My hearts desire and prayer for Israel!
2.THE GALATIANS CONCERN TO PAUL.
Galatians 4.12-15
Other Christians concern for Paul:
Philippians 4.16
3.WITH LOVE SERVE ONE ANOTHER & YOUR NEIGHBOUR.
Galatians 5.13-14
The Christian is encouraged throughout the Bible to be active and involved in good works. The Christian is to be concerned and focused on others and the needs of others. This is taught in all relationships, to the non Christian and the Christian.
